Mary Loomis

2019/20 Public Allies Fellow in Literature & Literacy

As the Literacy and Literature Teaching Fellow, Mary will be responsible for helping students work through assignments and designing and teaching course curriculum. Originally from Massachusetts, Mary earned a degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Vermont, where she fell in love with environmental literature and writing. During school and since graduating, Mary has Crew Lead at New Morning Farm, program coordinated for the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Burlington’s high school Youth Group, and lead wilderness trips and ran logistics for the Colorado Outward Bound School. She is excited to be spending this year learning and growing as an educator at Eagle Rock. When not in the classroom, you can find Mary trail running, reading, sipping cappuccinos, or playing with her pup, Juniper.
