Societies & Cultures Instructional Specialist

Cedric is an educator and musician from the East Coast. He is interested in Abolitionist Teaching. Cedric believes that teaching the true history of the United States to our youth will give these future leaders the understanding of why things are they way they today and why systems need to change. Cedric has worked as a Program Coordinator for Bridgewater State College’s L.E.A.D Program, pairing inner city youth with BSC student mentors of similar backgrounds, taking them on college, University and ivy league school tours and teaching them how to apply to college and financial aid. Cedric was also a Wrap Around Facilitator for the H.O.P.E Collaborative. He worked with “Gang Involved” youth, helping them to remain in or return to school, attain a GED and or find employment among other things. Cedric has taught in New Bedford Publics Schools for Whaling City Alternative, Trinity Day Academy as well as Keith Middle School and New Bedford High school.

More About Cedric

My favorite thing about Eagle Rock is its commitment to truly be a healing centered anti-racist institution for all students and staff.
