A San Francisco native, An recently graduated from College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine with a degree in Human Ecology. Outdoor education was central to his college experience, both inside and outside of the classroom. At COA, he led trips for the college’s Outdoor Orientation Program and Outing Club, took coursework in outdoor education at Prescott College, did an Outward Bound California Outdoor Educator Semester course, and interned as a Rock Climbing Instructor at Kent Mountain Adventure Center in Estes Park, CO. His experiences outside have led him to believe that outdoor education is a powerful vehicle through which we can grow into our best selves. He aspires to share this belief with the Eagle Rock community as the Public Allies Teaching Fellow in Outdoor Education. When not outside, you will probably find him singing, cooking, or practicing Spanish.
