StoryCorps joined us on campus on December 9th & 10th, 2011 for the National Teachers Initiative. StoryCorps, the national non-profit oral history project, launched its National Teachers Initiative at the White House on Monday, September 19, 2011. Only 1% of the interviews facilitated make it to air on NPR’s Morning Edition. We are hopeful our stories will be heard by that larger NPR audience, however, over the coming months we’ll be posting some of the 8 hours captured.
Listen to Karen & Amir talk about teacher mentorship and leadership
Listen to Michael & Sandra talk about her personal growth
Listen to Berta & Marwan talk about the impact students have on teachers
Listen to Robert & Davian talk about social justice
Listen to Trevion & Steve find common ground about defiance through smelly boots
Listen to Jon & Vidal talk about how Vidal found his love for the outdoors
Listen to Jeff & Eddy talk about Eddy’s love for music
Keep checking back here for more clips as we cull through the 8 hours that StoryCorps captured.
