CSR Initiative of American Honda Continues Education Renewal Work in Vermont

The Professional Development Center at Eagle Rock will continue education renewal work in collaboration with the Institute for Democratic Education in America: IDEAThe Paul W. Crowley East Bay MetParents & Adults Celebrating Children & Teens (PACT) & South Burlington High School on March 19 & 20, 2014.

Eagle Rock will be reconvening participants from the NYC Innovation tour from February to coach on forward movement of chosen projects inspired by the tour. Eagle Rock will meet with the planning committee of Senior Thesis Project (STP) conference to be held in May in Burlington, VT. The STP conference was initially conceived of and facilitated by Eagle Rock in Newport and Providence, RI in collaboration with East Bay Met School.

Eagle Rock will facilitate English department work at South Burlington High School. Having already facilitated the selection of standards, SBHS is now working on developing assessments for those standards as the departments move towards proficiency based graduation requirements. Some inspiration and technical assistance will be provided by Eagle Rock School students and staff.

Eagle Rock will be train facilitators to lead an evening community event in collaboration with PACT . This event with multiple stakeholders will narrow down proficiencies that may be used by South Burlington HS. They are narrowing down a list that has grown from previously held neighborhood learning conversations.
