Estes Park Trail Gazette – Eagle Rock video earns honors

After a month of public voting, Eagle Rock’s video entry to the Colorado Legacy Foundation’s “Ignite Innovation Challenge” finished in the top four and continues on to the private judging round where education stakeholders will review those finalists and determine the prize level each of the top eight entries will receive. The award announcement will be publicized on April 17.

All K-12 Colorado educators were encouraged to apply. Teachers, other school leaders, district leaders, BOCES, community-based organizations, service providers, or some other team of innovators working to personalize learning for students within their context were welcomed to submit.

Participants were asked to recall their most innovative strategy where they “dramatically personalized learning” for students they work with.

The Ignite Innovation Challenge was established specifically to encourage innovative educators to share their successes. Entries are being judged on creativity, connection to the Colorado Legacy Foundation’s Expanded Learning Opportunities Vision, level of impact on student learning, and overall innovative approach to teaching and learning.
