Eagle Rock School will sell the hard labor of its staff and students from 9.00 am – 3.30 pm on Friday, May 15, to help build the Eagle Rock School Graduate Higher Education Fund. Eagle Rock School established the Eagle Rock Graduate Fund in 1997. Through the generosity of many individuals over the past twelve years the school has awarded more than $350,000 to 139 graduates. Every Eagle Rock graduate is currently eligible for up to $14,000 towards the cost of undergraduate and post-graduate education. As the school grows the Fund, that amount will increase. The current global economic downturn has taken a chunk from the graduate fund’s capital, so the hiring of Eagle Rock on May 15 by local community members will help re-build the fund. Robert Burkhardt, Head of School, explains, “The Graduate Fund is consistent with the follow-through Eagle Rock shows in its investment in each graduate. We want to do all we can to give each graduate the best possible chance at success.” Individuals wishing to hire a team from Eagle Rock to help with yard work, gardening, moving, painting, window washing and other odd jobs should reach Elizabeth Halas at 970-586-0655. She can also be reached at lizziehal@aol.com. For more information about the Eagle Rock School Graduate Higher Education Fund, visit http://tinyurl.com/ERSfund
