María Myers is this year’s Societies and Cultures fellow. Born in New York, raised in New Jersey and most recently from Boston, María is excited to try out Colorado. As a queer mixed race woman, María is passionate about social justice and giving youth the tools they need to have their voices heard. Prior to her role at Eagle Rock, María attended college at Northeastern University while working for various public health organizations supporting people living with HIV, specifically CODISE AC in Guadalajara, Mexico and AIDS Action Committee in Boston. Additionally, María has been working with high school youth for the past five years
