Leila Ayad

2017/2018 Public Allies Teaching Fellow in Outdoor Education

Leila joins Eagle Rock’s team as the Outdoor Education Public Allies Fellow for the 2017-18 program year. Her first classroom was the small farm she was raised on in Sarasota, FL. She has continued to learn in and from the outdoors through working as an outdoor guide for Florida State University (FSU) and by doing field ecology research in Washington and Hawai’i. Most recently, she graduated from FSU with a degree in Environment & Society minoring in Biology. However, Leila considers herself an interdisciplinary thinker and seeks to build bridges between different bodies of knowledge. Leila is out here searching for the important things: a home-cooked meal, good friends to chat with and a warm place to sleep at night.
